This is it, team. The finals are descending upon us.
The Group C & D Semi Finals were, at least for us, a bit of a shocker. We didn’t doubt your love for Aaron Tveit so much as we thought Steve Kazee was unstoppable this year. With his heartbreaking performance in Once and winning video blog and Best Actor Tony Award, we just thought that once Jeremy Jordan was out of the way, Hottielympics Gold would most certainly be his. But Aaron Tveit fans proved us wrong. Aaronjolras will be at the final barricade today. And who knows, maybe this time he’ll survive and emerge with the Hottielympics highest honor.
For the women, the results were also a bit of a surprise. Sutton Foster was on a hot streak, for certain, but Celia Keenan-Bolger, also a 2012 Tony Nominee for her performance in critical darling Peter and the Starcatcher, had been unbeatable throughout competition. We thought she was likely to be unstoppable again in the semis. But Sutton Foster fans did more than keep the Bunheads star more than afloat—they pushed her straight to the shores of victory.
