- He’s back on Glee. I mean, I know we said “besides,” but whatever.
- He’s half-Mennonite. Sort of. We’re still fascinated and want to know more. Even after all these years. Even though we actually do know more.
- He’s the cutest person you’ve ever seen, even though he’s not. But he is. You know what I mean?
- He and Lea Michele had some weird shenanigans going on during Spring Awakening when they pretended to be fake in love with each other. Not that they aren’t actually in love with each other, because I think they actually are. But not in love in love. But it was kind of fascinating-yet-disturbing-yet-charming, and no one could have achieved that as artfully as Jonathan Groff.
- We’ll wonder forever if he’s actually a horrible person on the inside. Because all of his characters are and it’s easy to extrapolate. And then we’ll wonder why we don’t care one way or the other.
- Yeah, there’s six. To make up for the first one. At one point in time, he was technology averse and always had a marginally phone-like device on him that could not, under any circumstances, be categorized as a “smart” phone. Maybe he’s caught up by now. You know, hanging out in Los Angeles and all. But it was still really endearing. Really.

4. Um, weird things!?! what do you mean!? My favorite thing from that time period is that they slept in the theater the night before their last performance! So cute! (and totes illegal)
5. I’ve met Groff and he’s always sweet to me. He’s one of the sweetest people I “know”. Always has a smile on his face and gives hugs (good ones at that)! There’s not much to hate about him!
6. I think the last time I saw him he had a Blackberry but that was like two years ago. So I’m not sure what he’s got now.
A random thing about Jonathan Groff:
A friend and I were early to the Eugene O’Neill the night we saw Spring Awakening, chilling out and people watching in the area between the lobby doors and stage door. For some reason he was walking from one to the other and out of the blue said hello to me, and was very nice and quite polite. My friend (in her best Margot Tenenbaum) was all “Who’s that?” And her jaw dropped when I said, “Actually, that’s the star of this show….”
